Did you know that you could create a link that would start playing a specific song on a Spotify playlist? This can be useful for artists looking to promote their song that got added to a playlist, or for playlist curators / labels to increase the amount of streams they get from the playlist.
When you click on the link on mobile, it opens the Spotify mobile app on your phone and opens the playlist. Then it starts playing the specific song you chose and opens the now playing view. This makes it easy for people to automatically hear the song and easily save it, or add it to a playlist. Then when they close the now playing view they’ll see the overall playlist, which makes it easy for them to save / follow the playlist as well.

The only official time this link doesn’t work is when the user is opening Spotify in their web browser. It works fine on the mobile app and on the desktop application, but not the web browser. Fortunately in most cases 99% of the people clicking on your link are on a mobile phone. Aside from that, there has been a couple times Spotify updated their platform and this stopped working but it was briefly fixed. The nice thing about this playlist deep link, is even if it fails for some reason it will take the person to the song anyways.

Deep linking to a song on a playlist gives an overall better intent rate (saves / playlist adds) than a regular playlist link, but not as good as a regular track link. Playlists are great to drive streams per listener, or associate your music with another artist. But tracks links are best to hit the algorithm, and drive the most saves / playlist adds on the song.
