In this video, I'm going to walk you through what FlowStage is, and also how you can use FlowStage to help you make mini music social media videos that you can use to promote your music on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and also to make ad creatives for Meta ads. >> [music] >> I have used it in a whole bunch of TikTok accounts. I've used it in a whole bunch of ad campaigns, and it's been it's been a really helpful tool to just make creating more videos easier. Because, for example, you're running ads, you want as many ad creatives as possible that are in the right niche, so that you can test and see what performs best. And creative diversity is a big part of that. Additionally, if you're trying to create several different TikTok accounts to promote your band, fan accounts, theme accounts, whatever. Um you need a bunch of content in certain niches, and you could do it all manually from scratch in Premiere Pro or even in CapCut, but uh FlowStage is a tool that lets you do that. Um so, we're going to go into this, and we're going to focus on the desktop app in this video. They do also have a mobile app, which is confusingly called the same thing. Uh and the mobile app is all about filming stuff on your phone and reusing that footage again and again and again. Maybe I'll do a video on that in the future, but that thing is a whole 'nother can of worms. So, we're going to focus on the desktop app here because that's personally what I use uh more, but I do actually use it the mobile app as well. So, on their homepage {slash} get started page after you've made your account, which they do have a free account as well. In a nutshell, what the what the way the site works is you make or use what are called aesthetics. So, for example, they have pre-made aesthetics. One example is this one called Drive All Night. And for example, this one has 49 videos in it, 50 images, and then it also has hooks, and you can load audio files inside of it as well. And they have a bunch of these pre-made aesthetics you can use, but you you can also make your own. In fact, like I and I think the site really encourages you to make your own. So, you would go get your own footage, your own photos, your own hooks, and then you would make the videos. So, for example, if I'm in this drive all night aesthetic, I can do create using this aesthetic, and now I'm inside of the the make a video renderer or whatever you want to call it. And so, I have some videos already made, but if I go to make a video, um I can either click let flow stage decide and all these things or I can go in customize it. So, I'm just going to turn off my screen share for a moment and pick a song so my editors don't have to blur out some stuff. But But now that I have this here, I have the song selected, I can do create in draft, and now it is drafting the hook, making the video, and now we have a a video, which we can go check out. So, I'm going to click on edit, it's going to open it up, and I'm going to mute this just so I don't have to deal I can talk while it's going, but you can imagine there's music playing. And it made this video, right? And I can edit it. So, instead of making it be 16 by 9, I can make it be 9 by 16, 3 by 4, 1 by 1, or whatever the original source footage is. I can turn off the hook or I can move it around. I can turn off the lyrics and move them around. Um there are also presets. So, if I click play, I can switch to dancy big statement or single word serif caps or breath generator or statement lyrics. Um so, there's a lot of different things you can do. Um You can see that the words are kind of like animated here. There's there's full animation settings where I can change how those things are animating. I can do font cycle, calm waves, impact, and I can change the timing of them, right? And And additionally, I can go in and I can modify the hook, use one of the preset ones or type in my own one. It does use AI if you choose to to um make the hook kind of relate to the aesthetic and the lyrics. So, it looks at at least what I believe it does, it looks at the hooks you have in here, it looks at the lyrics, and it decides what your hook should be based on those two things. So, sometimes it's really good, but as you can imagine, it's it's AI, so sometimes it's horrible. So, you can you just kind of look at it and you can choose when you're making videos if if you are making aesthetics and stuff, if you want to only use preset ones you make, or if you want to go ahead and and let it use the AI. They have clip animations, so inside of here I can say all the transitions I want to have a blur and zoom effect. And then now, when it's going in between these transitions between clips, um like right bam, you see it blurred. And then bam, blurred, bam, blur and zoom, right? So, you can have these cool animations. So, there's a lot more parameters in here. You can get really like nitty-gritty all the way to um I think you can even use Yeah, you can translate the lyrics, but I think you can do custom fonts somewhere. Yeah, custom fonts. So, you can get pretty crazy with it. And once you find something you like, you can lock it in and save it as a preset. So, if I want it like I I I I know that I use certain things very often. Um so, I change it to serif word by word nostalgia. Um this is something I forgot if I made this one or if they made this one. Animation no hook, I'm pretty sure I made this one. Um because I wanted a preset that didn't have a hook, and it had this animated one word text. So, you can when you're making your videos, you can choose a preset and then have it make all the videos with that preset. And that preset can include a lot of things. It can include anything on the page, but it can also include how many cuts there are, right? Cuz I can add more clips to this. Um and I can also do less clips. But let's say I wanted to select all of these, I can reroll all the footage. So I This is shuffling the exact clips that's being used for each individual one. I can also choose individual videos and just shuffle that one, or I can click on it and I can swap out manually the video and the section of the video that's used for that part. So you can get like really crazy with it. You can manually move the stuff around. You can swap the order of things. And you can also do cut to beats, which you can manually record the beats, or they do have a beat detection in here. So if you wanted to cut on the beat, you can do that. So you can have a full video like with lyrics, with a hook, cut on the beat, um, with animations and text animations all synced to the music, which And then you can do it at scale. So once you lock in all these presets and lock in all these edits and have your aesthetics, you can do make up to 10 at once. And unfortunately, I have to I have to blur out a lot of this just because I don't want to show every single artist and song we have in here, but this is essentially a song and then part of the songs and, um, over here you choose how many times you're using this song. So I can be like, I want to make this many clips of that, this many clips of that, this many clips of that. And And you can do up to 10 at a time, click draft 10, and then now it, um, it's going to spit out 10 videos doing that. So I'm going to click draft 10 proposals, and it shows us the kind of like template for how it's going to create these. So here we have the song and song section, which again is blurred out. But then I can choose the preset for each one of these. So if I know I want a certain amount of this preset, certain amount of that preset, um, this preset doesn't use a hook, but this one I can shuffle the hook. Um, I can change it to a flip book, which is kind of like, um, it's like photos going back-to-back instead of a sequence of videos. And then once I lock that in, I can choose create and draft. And just to make this whole concept of aesthetics a little more clear-cut, this is a an aesthetic I made called 2000s nostalgia. And all the clips in here manually put in here. So, for example, if I open this up, um it has this clip of Viva La Bam, which is a TV show, a great TV show if you've never seen it. It's got footage, I'm going to make this full screen, um from Counter-Strike. It's got footage from Twisted Metal on PlayStation 2 or 1, I actually don't remember. And then clips from Half-Life 2. So, I'm getting getting footage that someone who was like a like a teenager or kid growing up in the 2000s would remember, right? Which is me, right? So, I grew up with all of these things. And the music I make kind of fits with these things, and so the the theory is we're going to post a bunch of social media content that people who like this music are likely to enjoy because of the demographic they grew up in, because of the cultural times of the music, whatever it is. For example, in this case this page posts a lot of like nu metal music, um or what people would call like divorce dad rock, because it's all from that era, those two kind of categories. Um and well, if you grew up with that music, you probably listen to that now, and you grew up with all these video games and TV shows and hobbies and these commercials that I pulled clips in here, and then it's being synced to the music with hooks that fit it. There is this section where you can go ahead and click upload, or if you already have a song in your library, you can click library and find it, but you would typically be uploading it. And then when you upload it, you will be taken to this window, and this is just a popular song that I have in this aesthetic. A great song if you don't know it, by the way. But, um when you load it in, you can choose to auto-transcribe the song. So, it's going to automatically transcribe the lyrics. And um it's not perfect, as you might imagine. It's typically like 95% accurate. Some genres are better or worse, like if this the artist mumbles a lot, you'll have problems. But, I'd say probably 95% accuracy is what I typically see. Um and so it goes through and it plays and you can see it's syncing the lyrics up and then as it goes you just go if you need to fix a word you fix a word. You can split words and add new words and you can automatically censor swear words, remove punctuation, all that stuff you need to do. It's pretty quick. You click analyze it takes maybe 30 seconds to a minute. You spend maybe 5 minutes fixing lyrics that were wrong and then now the whole song is synced. Uh from there what you do is you make sections of the song. So you can get this waveform view and you'll see here I have chosen the verse, the chorus, and the last chorus of the song. So I could come into another part of the song click add section and I can drag these handles to get the part of the song that I want and it shows me the lyrics down here for like what lyrics are part of the sections that I chose because I already synced the lyrics. But once you do this you have you have your lyrics synced and you have your part of the song synced. So when I was able to choose a song and a part of the song and the lyrics were just there this is the prep work you do. So like your your kind of overall workflow for working with Flow Stage is you load in your songs, you sync your lyrics, you sync your sections, and then um you either use one of the pre-existing aesthetics or you curate your own aesthetics. So if you're for example like an an EDM artist that has like a really girly girl vibe. So and maybe you're like I feel like the Barbie movie really fits well and maybe like um it's kind of like nostalgic so you get this kind of like what is it like Neopets or something from the 2000s. And so you kind of curate this aesthetic of footage and and images that you find online and then now you have this perfect like symphony of music and visuals. Another style of video that's really cool is a flipbook. So I can do pick a song and I want to do a flipbook and I'm just letting Flow Stage decide everything else. And now it's drafting the video. And when I pull this up, you're going to see that it is a sequence of images. So, if I click play, it's shuffling through the images. And it also has lyrics here. I don't like the style of lyrics it chose, so I'm going to flip it to a different style. But now it's like brat style lyrics over this flipbook of photos. And in this case, I don't like that it's it doesn't have that many photos, so I'm going to open this up. And I can change a whole lot of things about this, right? I can change the order of the photos. It only chose seven or eight photos, but I can go in and I can add a whole bunch more. Now, I will say they're very fast to ship features. Um I interviewed Ram on my channel a little while ago, which you can check here in that video. Um and they ship stuff super fast. Every month they have a whole host of updates, and they have a very active Discord where you can talk about new features. And I've been messaging him a good amount being like, "Hey, this would be really cool. This would be really cool." And he's either like, "Oh, yeah, that's easy." And bam, do it. And next week it's up. Or yeah, that's that's a horrible feature. No one will want but you. So, anyways, now we have a flipbook that's a different speed. Um and it's got the crossfade between it. And again, you can see like how customizable everything is. So, it allows you to really go in and fine-tune things to what you're looking for. Now, if that wasn't enough, they also have a slideshow feature where you can make like slideshows of images, right? So, here I just chose a song, again, also great song, Evan's Blue Cold, classic. Um where where you can uh generate images, and it does kind of use AI to pull a hook, and then it puts the lyrics on the next slide. But you can also just like drag more slides in here and like click on a spot and add a block of text or whatever to make your own custom slideshows using stuff from your aesthetics. And you can shuffle the image that's being used on there to get it right. And then you could finalize it and either download it or another feature that I'm not going to go down deep on here is they do have a send to TikTok feature. This isn't like an auto poster. What it does is it loads the footage or content in the app so that you can post it because if you ever use like a scheduler, you'll know that you can't tag your song from the library in in the like scheduler. You have to do it manually. So what it does it loads thing account. You open it up from TikTok and you click add sound and then you add the sound and you just post it. So it makes it very like scheduled and you can even set up like text automations where or notifications where it sends you a text message when it's been pushed so that way like you can set a schedule I want to post these two times a day. It'll text you at those two times today and say hey your your video is ready. You go on TikTok, it's waiting there for you. Attach your audio and post. So if if you're someone who's like running a bunch of fan accounts for your own music or for someone else's or you're you're trying to get into that, that's a pretty clutch feature as well. So this video isn't sponsored by Flow State but I do have an affiliate link down below that will give you 20% off your first month. And I do use Flow State a lot. Last month we generated, me and my team, over 1,100 videos between our TikTok accounts and the ad campaigns that we run this for. It's really nice to be able to just like kind of snap your fingers and spit out like 10 videos that you can use. Um I recently did a video which you can check out right here where I posted over 400 times in about 5 weeks to promote my band's music and Flow State was a big part about that especially uh for the like burner accounts or alt theme page accounts that we used. This was the exact type of tool we used to crank out that footage. It not type of tool. It was the exact tool. Uh if you want to see how you can market your music using meta ads I guess, check out this video right here or this playlist right here where I have a ton of content you can use to learn with that. Anyways, thanks for watching. I'll see you in the next one. Bye.
